Background

The Stern Family Charitable Trust is proud to offer an annual Educational Scholarship for Perseverance.  This scholarship is awarded to an individual student who has showed perseverance and integrity all while having proven to overcome obstacles, adversity, and hardship in acheiving their primary education. The scholarship is awarded for education to a Massachusetts resident for attending a 4 year Bachelors program, a 2 year Associates program, or other skilled professional Certification program.  The scholarship is intended to support students for the full duration of their program and will be awarded annually as long as the student continually meets the award requirements.     • The scholarship is open to any Massachusetts resident and US citizen who will be graduating from any State accredited high school in the spring or winter of 2024.

  • Tuition, room and board, books and other approved supplies for a 4 year, 2 year, or other approved trade certification program

  • Our trustees will consider the obstacles and hardship encountered, financial need, student character, and academic standing.

  • The Stern Family Charitable Trust will make available $50,000 in new scholarships annually to be distributed among several finalists. The award amount for each student will continue each semester for up to 4 years or program completion. The distributions will be made per the trustees sole discretion based on applicant qualifications and need.

  • The award will be given annually as necessary for the duration of the educational program provided the recipient meets a minimum set of criteria.
